Top 10 Online Poker Player Blog List

Sometimes we need to take a break from playing online poker but still need our poker fix. And what better way then to read how the professional players think and the way they live their lives through a poker player blog? Below are the top ten list of poker player blogs that are a must read for any poker fan who enjoys either some light entertainment or poker strategy from the professionals.
The reason why these poker player blogs below are included in the top ten list is because they discuss topics on the following
current state of the online games
explaining flaws in their own games and their plans to correct it
well explained poker concept posts
Entertaining Trip Reports (with photos!)
Degenerate gambling stories from the past or about other players
Poker challenges
Hand Histories with detailed thought processes
1. Alvin "Citizenwind" Lau
Alvin is a Cardrunners coach and pulls no punches when he describes what it takes to beat the current online poker games. Every time you read one of his posts you feel motivated to take on the online poker world with a renewed zest.
2. AE Jones
This is a classic poker blog. Even though AE Jones is running his own business which must be time consuming enough and playing high stakes, he still posts on a regular occurrence on his Leggo Poker Blog. His posts can be about anything and it reads like a personal journal.
3. Pawel "Verneer" Nazarewicz
You can tell Verneer was a teacher before he decided to try poker for a living. Most of his posts are structured in a way that he wants the reader to come away from reading the post having learned something. It's like whenever he has a realisation, he straight away posts about it so we too can learn from his mistakes or observations.
4. Peter Halberg
Peter is the 2004 World Backgammon Champion, was born in Korea but raised in Denmark and this is one of the find blogs for me this year. Well thought out and motivating blog posts. I'm kind of surprised that he is only playing 200nl but looks like he is comfortable and happy playing at that level.
5. Christopher "FenderJaguar" Leather
Self titled "The Madhatter Poker Ramblings of Christopher Leather AKA FenderJaguar" and it is as described. there is some quality stuff here not to mention some damn good photshop images. He is a Deuces Cracked poker coach and always entertaining and educational.
6. John O Shea
This is a Boylesports sponsored young poker pro from Ireland who plays mainly mid stakes PLO online but has had some decent big buy-in MTT success, most notable coming 6th in last years 25k 5 Star World Poker Classic which is part of the WPT schedule. He's not afraid to speak his mind and is brutally honest in his blog. One of his stand out posts where he cleaned out a visiting business man in Ireland's biggest ever casino held poker game. He is also a fan of sports betting so definitely a degenerate streak in him!
7. Tony "Bond18" Dunst
I just recently acquainted myself with this blog and glad I did. Tony Dunst is well known in the online poker world but I never realised that he kept such an informative, engaging and regularly updated blog like this. He must spend days putting his blog posts together and he would definitely be able to make a regular income as a journalist.
8. Padraig Parkinson
What can we say about Padraig Parkinson
- He's Irish and proud of it
- He like s a few drinks
- He knows how to tell a good story
He was an excellent contributor when on the The Poker Show with Jesse May and had told some cracking stories, which he now relays in his card player blog. Its been around for a while so check out all his past posts to see him slate some of the well known and unknown characters in the poker world.
9. Clayton Newman
The guys at Leggo Poker seem to know how to write blogs! This is another journal type blog where Clayton muses on general observations, his own poker an non poker related goals and general goings on in his own life. I like seeing other peoples brag graph's and he is not afraid to post those!
10. Steve Boreham
Steve is a card runners endorsed pro and his blog contains a mix of everything from hand histories, to motivational posts to general observations. Also not afraid to post his HEM results.
